In the age of globalization, a look into benefits of eating local/seasonal food

We generally ignore the benefits of local food. It's more healthy because it's in accordance with the climatic conditions, environment, it's cultural growth  and it's local conditions. Previously certain type of foods were restricted to certain seasons, now mostly we get all the foods through out the year like spinach was not eaten during rainy season, as the insects ate the spinach leaves.
